Free agent and reported Wolves target Isco has reportedly already rejected multiple offers.

The 30-year-old is currently unattached after leaving Sevilla last month.

Isco cut his time with the Spanish club short due to a combination of things.

He was a Julen Lopetegui signing, with other recruitment officials not particularly on board with the move.

He struggled for form, and also suffered as a result of being similar to other players in the squad in terms of profile.

After Lopetegui’s exit, Isco then fell out with sporting director Monchi. It all resulted in him leaving just months after signing a two-year deal.

Isco is not the player he was a few years ago. But he’s still a good player, and seemingly isn’t short of interest at the moment.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the playmaker has already rejected several offers from clubs in Italy, including Fiorentina, Hellas Verona and others.

Isco is waiting for the right project.

He is not seeking huge wages, with Estadio Deportivo adding he has also turned down approaches from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

In recent weeks Wolves have been linked with a move for Isco.

There were bound to be reports given Lopetegui is now the head coach at Molineux.

The 56-year-old was actually asked about the Isco links while he was in Marbella with the squad, but would not be drawn on the speculation.

Could Isco be waiting for Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui’s call?

It sounds as though there is a queue forming for Isco following his contract termination at Sevilla.

That’s hardly a suprise. Isco may no longer be a top-class player, but he still has plenty to offer.

One wonders if he might be holding out for a move to the Premier League. Specifically, whether he wants to work with Lopetegui again.

Reports have already suggested as much.

But perhaps Lopetegui has other players on his radar and wants to see if he can get them.

If Wolves do not sign a new midfielder this month and Isco is still a free agent in February, the manager may well turn to the maestro.
