The proposed deal that will see Fabio Silva join Anderlecht on loan is ‘done’, according to a report in Belgium.
Anderlecht-Online has reported that the striker is going to join the club, with an announcement to be made very soon.
News of Anderlecht’s interest in Silva was first reported a couple of weeks ago.
But things have gone a little quiet of late.
But it seems the deal will still go through according to this report.
There is surely something in the pipeline, with Wolves leaving Silva at home rather than naming him in their pre-season squad.
Silva has not joined his teammates out in Alicante. Presumably it’s because he has been finalising his temporary exit.
One would imagine the announcement from Anderlecht will come at some point this week.
Wolves will be hoping for a really productive spell for Silva, who has had a tough time since moving to Molineux two years ago.
The star was rather thrown in at the deep end in his first season, as Nuno Espirito Santo turned to him in Raul Jimenez’s absence.
Last term, the star struggled for minutes, with Bruno Lage showing unwavering faith in the Mexico international.
During his time at Molineux Silva has shown some promising signs.
Ultimately though, he just needs regular minutes in order to become a bit more ruthless.
Wolves will surely be signing new striker very soon with Fabio Silva joining Anderlecht
With Silva’s move to Anderlecht apparently now done, we could soon get some movement on a new striker coming to Molineux.
It is inconceivable that Wanderers would head into the new season with just Jimenez.
With the club now set to start playing games in pre-season, it could be that a new striker will arrive very soon.
Hopefully, it is going to be someone who has a bit of prowess about them, given the team’s struggles in front of goal for the past two seasons.
