Wolverhampton Wanderers star Conor Coady is said to be ‘more than happy’ at Molineux.
90min have claimed the 28-year-old is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
They are now managed by Nuno Espirito Santo of course, and he has supposedly asked for his former captain.
Nuno is said to view Coady as an ideal signing.
But the player only signed a new contract with Wolves last year.
90min say that he is ‘more than happy’ in the Black Country, before adding the prospect of playing for a Big Six club would be difficult to turn down.
Coady has been with Wolves since joining from Huddersfield Town in 2015, costing just £2 million (BBC Sport).
He has racked up 275 appearances in Old Gold, and has been a tremendous servant to the club.
It remains to be seen if Nuno and Spurs will test Wolves’ resolve with an offer.
90min say Wolves are not in a position to turn down substantial offers for players.
Wolves should retain Coady
Wolves should be looking to retain Coady, at least for now.
He is a brilliant captain who can aid with the transition period for Bruno Lage.
The new manager may wish to implement a back four, and there have been question marks about Coady in such system.
But he has shown he is capable, and obviously he is great in a back three.
It would be no surprise if Nuno made a big push to reunite with Coady, but Wolves should stand firm.
