Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be in contact with the agent of Turkish goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
Sporx have claimed there is serious interest in the 25-year-old.
There is set to be change at Molineux between the sticks, with Rui Patricio said to be interesting AS Roma.
The latest on that situation from journalist Fabrizio Romano is that the 33-year-old is close to joining the Italians.
It’s been claimed that if he does leave, Jose Sa will be the man to replace him.
But Sporx say there is contact between Wolves and Trabzonspor stopper Cakir.
Apparently the Turkish outfit are open to selling for the right price.
Cakir has just finished representing his country at Euro 2020.
He played in all three of their games, and conceded eight goals.
He has been with his current club since 2012, breaking through to the first-team in 2014.
A decent alternative
This claim comes quite out of the blue.
Cakir is a decent goalkeeper, and as bad as Turkey were, he actually made the most saves (18) of all ‘keepers at Euro 2020 in the group stages.
He has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool recently.
It seems as though Sa will be the man to replace Patricio if he does leave, but Cakir would not be a bad alternative, depending on the asking price.
