The agent of Carlos Alcaraz has claimed his client has an option in England, following recent speculation about a move to Wolves.

The Racing Club midfielder is hot property at the moment.

Alcaraz is really talented young midfield player, and it was recently claimed that Wolves had made an enquiry.

But there is also interest from Inter Milan, who raided Racing Club a few years ago to sign another Argentine youngster Lautaro Martinez.

That transfer worked out extremely well, with Lautaro now one of the most exciting strikers in Europe.

Seemingly, Inter are looking to move for Martinez in the hope of replicating their success with Lautaro.

Potentially, there could be a real scrap over Martinez.

The player’s agent has been speaking about him to Italian publication Tuttosport, and revealed there are a couple of options on the table already, including one from England.

Sebastian Lopez said: “Now, we have an option in England and Portugal. But neither Inter nor Milan directors have contacted me recently.

“We are waiting. We’ve been talking to important clubs. Around 15 million euros (could be enough to sign him). Even if the fee could be reduced by adding a sell-on clause for Racing.”

It remains to be seen if Wolves turn out to be the option in England Lopez is referring to.

Wanderers are definitely up against it to sign Alcaraz with Inter keen.

Inter have made big strides in recent seasons and are a competitive outfit again. And their signing of Lautaro previously is something that could well appeal greatly to Martinez.

Wolves might be thinking about life after Neves and Moutinho with Carlos Alcaraz interest, as agent says there’s an option in England

Alcaraz has the potential to become a top player, and it would be very exciting if Wolves were able to land him.

The club are likely to be needing a new central midfielder or two quite soon.

Joao Moutinho could well be into his final season for Wolves. His contract expires next summer.

And then of course Ruben Neves was expected to depart in the last transfer window. It was a shock that Wolves hung onto him, but the club will be lucky to do that next year.

Matheus Nunes has also already been linked with an exit from Wolves. It was a surprise to many that a player of his quality and potential signed for Wolves in the first place.

So potentially, Wolves are going to have major need to someone in that area, and the exciting Alcaraz would certainly be a good long-term addition.
