Boubacar Kamara is ready to leave Marseille as a free agent, following summer transfer links to Wolves.
The defensive midfielder’s future has been the subject of speculation for some time.

But The Athletic now report that the 22-year-old has opted to run down his current contract and leave the club next summer.
Marseille are said to be still hopeful of tieing the player down. But it is believed they are too late.
It is not clear yet what Kamara’s next destination will be.
But the report says the ‘leading talent’ will ‘take on a new challenge outside of France’.
Wolves are mentioned in the report following their summer interest in the player.
It is thought Kamara rejected a move to Molineux, and also Newcastle United.

Should Wolves wish to go back in for the player they might face tough competition from the Magpies, who have apparently kept lines of communication open since the summer.
Wolves have enjoyed a decent start to the 2021/22 season.
But the club are now in the middle of a tough fixture list, and Bruno Lage is lacking options at centre-back and in central midfield.
Wolves need signings now, as report makes Boubacar Kamara free agent claim
Wolves should be all over Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer.
He is one of the top young talents in France, so to get him without spending anything would be fantastic business.
But Wolves absolutely need reinforcements to arrive next month.

It sounds like Kamara could potentially see out the season with Marseille. That would be a blow for Wolves, who need players now.
That said, Marseille are now out of the Europa League and are way behind Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. Maybe if Wolves put forward a strong case he would consider moving next month. Obviously, Marseille would need compensating in such a case.
If he won’t move mid-season, Wolves should enquire about a possible pre-contract agreement ahead of 2022/23. The club should then move to sign someone next month.
