Benfica are reportedly willing to sell for Goncalo Ramos for £25 million this summer, amid interest from Wolves and Newcastle United.
According to journalist Pedro Sepulveda, the Eagles are ready to cash in on the 21-year-old striker.
Wolves have just signed Goncalo Guedes from Valencia to bolster their attack.
But it is thought the club would like to sign another forward before the summer window closes.
Ramos is more of a natural centre-forward, and would provide direct competition to Raul Jimenez.
It was reported recently that Wolves enquired about signing Ramos on loan. But Benfica would only want to sell if Ramos was to leave.
Apparently, Benfica would sell if they received an offer of at least £25 million.
But Wanderers face competition from Newcastle, who are looking to get a striker in after missing out on Hugo Ekitike.
It is stated that the Magpies are preparing an offer for the Portugal U21 star.
Ramos has been in superb form for Benfica over the past few weeks. He had a strong pre-season, and in three appearances so far this season, he has already scored three goals (hat-trick against FC Midtjylland) and made three assists.
£25 million is a very reasonable asking price for the talented Goncalo Ramos
If this information from Sepulveda is accurate, then Wolves might be tempted.
Ramos has made a brilliant start to the new season, and has major potential.
As a young Portuguese player, maybe there is a good chance he would be willing to make the move to Molineux.
But Newcastle are a big threat and would likely be able to trump Wolves in terms of an offer to both Benfica and the player.
We shall see if Wanderers do make an official proposal, but a £25 million asking price is definitely something worth mulling over.
