It was claimed that Wolves had held talks with the Robins about a potential transfer this month.

But it seems it never went beyond that stage, and there was no word of any kind of offer from Wolves.

That was perhaps because City’s asking price was £25 million. The Telegraph’s John Percy said at the time that City would need to lower that if a deal was to happen, with Wolves’ very keen’.

But now, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook has reported that Scott has has decided to see out the season with Bristol City.

He’ll choose his next club in the summer, and Crook adds that he has long-standing interest from Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Bournemouth.

Scott, 19, is regarded as one of one of the best prospects in the Championship.

To date, he’s clocked up 73 appearances for the Robins, scoring four goals and making seven assists.

The versatile midfielder has previously been likened to Manchester City’s Jack Grealish in terms of his play style.

So Scott is ready to knuckle down for the rest of the season at Bristol City, and that’s fair enough.

He’s been developing really well at Ashton Gate, and it probably does make sense for him to get a full season under his belt before making a big money move at a young age.

The club’s owner Steve Lansdown recently told BBC Guernsey the youngster has a contract offer on the table.

So Wolves will need to watch the situation closely.

Should he sign that, his value will increase further.

But he is definitely a player to keep an eye on. Especially since any combination of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Matheus Nunes could leave the club this summer.
