Adama Traore has emerged as a transfer target for AC Milan, with his Wolves contract about to expire.
The Spaniard looks for all the world like he will become a free agent in just a few days’ time.
Traore’s Molineux contract, the same one he signed when he first joined the club from Middlesbrough in 2018, expires on June 31.
Traore has had a number of extension offers from Wolves.
But the 27-year-old has been unwilling to sign, with a new challenge seemingly his prerogative.
Over the last couple of months, we have heard about interest from Napoli. Real Betis recently entered the picture.
But now, a new club has joined the hunt.
AC Milan want to sign Adama Traore with Wolves deal almost up, AS Roma also keen
According to journalist Gianluca DiMarzio via his website, last season’s Champions League semi-finalists are now keen to sign Traore.

The club are in contact with the player and his agent Jorge Mendes.
Manager Stefano Pioli has given the green light to signing the player.
There is also brief mention of AS Roma, managed by Jose Mourinho of course. Mourinho has taken a player from Wolves before during his time at the Stadio Olimpico.
In 2021, Rui Patricio signed, with Wolves then replacing him with Jose Sa.
Adama Traore leaving Wolves is a great shame, but he also never truly lived up to his potential
Traore is surely going.
If he was staying, you would have thought he’d have agreed an extension by now.
Matt Hobbs recently stated that the club were still hopefully of reaching an agreement with the player. And prior to that, Julen Lopetegui had been vocal about keeping the winger.
But it looks as though their attempts have been unsuccessful.

Traore cannot really be blamed for leaving on a free.
He now has the chance to embark on a new challenge and earn a better wage.
It is a shame he’s going though. Ultimately, he did not live up to his potential at Wolves, but he was massively entertaining at least.
