Wolves transfer target Aaron Wan-Bissaka reportedly has an asking price of £25 million.
TalkSPORT have said today that the 25-year-old now has a market value that is half what Manchester United paid for him in 2019.
Wan-Bissaka’s time at Old Trafford has not quite gone as he had hoped.
He made a good start following his £50 million transfer from Crystal Palace. But last season he drew criticism, particularly for his apparent lack of quality on the ball.
This season, he barely saw any minutes under Erik ten Hag before the World Cup.
But an injury for Diogo Dalot has allowed him to come back into United’s starting XI – and he’s done well in recent weeks.
Wan-Bissaka put in a string of solid performances, including one against Wolves on New Year’s Eve.
He struggled a bit against Arsenal at the weekend. But overall it’s been a positive past month or so for the star.
He’s still being linked with an exit from United. And talkSPORT say Crystal Palace have been trying to re-sign the full-back.
But his £25 million asking price is proving prohibitive.
Wolves were reported to be interested in Wan-Bissaka in December. But there has been no word of any offers so far.
It remains to be seen if Wolves will come to the table with United having valued the player at £25 million.
Wolves may be tempted to meet Aaron Wan-Bissaka asking price if offers come in for Nelson Semedo
It’ll be very interesting to see if Wolves do make a play for Wan-Bissaka.
It might be, though, that a deal hinges on Nelson Semedo.
It was reported by Johnny Phillips last month that the Portuguese defender could be offload in January if the terms were right.
Semedo’s form has actually picked up in recent weeks. That might lead to some late bids coming in for him.
It’s not out of the question that Wanderers meet Wan-Bissaka’s asking price if a club is willing to make a good offer for Semedo.
