Wolves have been linked to a forward as Vitor Pereira looks to bolster his squad before transfer Deadline Day.
Time is running out for the Old Gold in the January transfer window, especially when considering that Wolves want multiple signings this winter.
Pereira is eager to add to his defence, midfield and attack before Monday’s deadline, with several targets identified.
Currently, Wolves are pushing to sign Kevin Danso to strengthen in central defence and now, a forward target has emerged.

Wolves eyeing transfer move for former target Rafa Silva
It’s set to be a busy end to the window at Molineux, putting pressure on Fosun and Jeff Shi to deliver before it’s too late.
The signings made in January could play an integral part in Wolves’ bid for Premier League survival, emphasising why Pereira has high demands.
While the defence and midfield are the priority, a forward target has emerged amid the chaos, as Wolves are reportedly eager to seal a deal for Rafa Silva – known as Rafa.
Journalist Pinto Coelho reported Wolves’ interest in Rafa when speaking on the Portuguese television channel V+ TVI.
Wolves are long-term admirers of Rafa, who was wanted by Bruno Lage back in 2022 when he was thriving at Benfica.
Now playing in Turkey for Besiktas, the versatile former Portugal international can play in most areas in the front line, having one trait that has impressed a Premier League icon.
Jurgen Klopp is a fan of Rafa Silva’s quality
It was only last season that Rafa contributed to an eye-watering 37 goals in all competitions for Benfica.
The tricky forward is admired by Wolves for good reason, having won over former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp with his dazzling speed.
Club | Apps | Goals | Assists |
Benfica | 326 | 94 | 79 |
SC Braga | 127 | 26 | 18 |
Feirense | 47 | 11 | 0 |
Besiktas | 31 | 10 | 7 |
In 2022, Klopp praised Rafa’s pace prior to Benfica’s Champions League clash against Liverpool.
“We have to make sure he (Nunez) will not get a lot of balls, but [they have] other players. Rafa [Silva] with the ball, wow, really quick,” Klopp told the media.
This season, Rafa has 17 goal contributions in all competitions for Besiktas, making it a difficult deal to pull off on paper however, the charm of the Premier League has its uses.
It remains to be seen if Wolves table an offer for their long-term target, who could join Pereira at Molineux after Lage’s failed attempt.
