Wolves eyeing transfer target Clement Akpa from Auxerre
Early into his career at Molineux, Agbadou is earning rave reviews, being the additional defensive signing that Wolves needed so desperately.
It’s not rocket science to realise that the Old Gold need another central defender badly, with the likes of Santi Bueno being criticised for his recent performances.
The hunt for a new defender is underway, as Wolves scouts were in France eyeing a left-sided centre-back, something that they might have uncovered.
According to the understanding of GIVEMESPORT, Wolves have Auxerre defender Clement Akpa on their radar.
The 23-year-old is capable of playing left-back and centrally in defence, being the left-footed defender Wolves are crying out for.
Akpa, who represents Ivory Coast U23 internationally, played a part in Auxerre’s promotion last season and is now highly-regarded in Ligue 1, playing against some of the world’s best attacks.
Two Wolves players know about Clement Akpa
Given how much of a hit Agbadou has been, Wolves are surely tempted to dive back into the French market, with Akpa one name coming from recent scouting.
Interestingly, the Ivorian already has two links to Wolves, with his current teammate being loanee Ki-Jana Hoever, who is enjoying life at Auxerre.

Additionally, Akpa has played against Agbadou, his countryman, during their time in Ligue 1 together, being a player vetted by more than just scouts at Wolves.
GIVEMESPORT’s update on the Wolves target revealed that the Old Gold’s representatives have been left ‘impressed’ by Akpa this season.
With time ticking in the transfer window, it remains to be seen where links to Akpa take Wolves, who need to act fast to land their desired targets.
