Wolves transfer rumours: Burnley reject Wolves’ bid for Luca Koleosho

Wolves do not have long left to complete their transfer business. Despite big departures, O’Neil has not had a major signing since the start of July.

With just a few days left of the window, a replacement for Pedro Neto could be crucial for the Old Gold’s campaign.

One player who has been linked recently is Luca Koleosho. The young winger was part of the Burnley side that were relegated from the Premier League last season, but he impressed on the field before he picked up a season-ending injury.

As a result, Wolves have seen Koleosho as a potential Neto replacement. According to reports, the club have attempted to lure the winger to Wolves with a £20 million bid, but this has been rejected by the Clarets.

Alongside issues on the wing, Wolves have had continuous problems with their strikers over recent years.

Since Raul Jimenez’s injury, many players have attempted to lead the Old Gold line and failed miserably.

In the last campaign, Matheus Cunha was used up top and did well, however, he is not seen as a natural striker.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is hoped to finally solve this issue and the Norwegian scored past Chelsea on the weekend. However, Wolves could now bring in another player in this position.

According to L’Equipe, Wolves are looking to complete a potential late swoop for striker Mohamed from Nantes.

Since the start of the new Premier League campaign, the debate has heated up regarding Jose Sa’s position in the net.

Wolves have conceded eight goals in their first two league games, with the Portuguese international underperforming massively in both.

Throughout the past week, one major player linked to Wolves was Aaron Ramsdale. The Arsenal ‘keeper could provide Sa with competition and help raise the standards at the club.

However, this possibility now seems to be at an end. It is believed that Wolves have ended their pursuit of Ramsdale. After a loan bid with the option to buy was rejected, the Old Gold have deemed the ‘keeper ‘too expensive’.
