Wolves youngster Nathan Fraser will reportedly participate in the club’s training camp in Abu Dhabi, with a decision to then be mind about his future.
It was reported this week that Fraser had been set to join League One side, having been present to watch them against Fleetwood Town last weekend.
Manager Matt Taylor has made no secret of his admiration for the player, and Shrewsbury did actually want to sign him on loan last summer.
It looks as though Fraser‘s proposed move isn’t quite as advanced as first reported, with journalist Liam Keen providing some new information today…
Striker Nathan Fraser set to take part in Wolves’ Abu Dhabi training camp

Wolves are in action tomorrow night against Brentford in the third round of the FA Cup but then after that, the club are heading to Abu Dhabi for warm weather training as the Premier League takes a break.
It will be a chance for Gary O’Neil to keep his players ticking over, and also an opportunity for them all to have a bit of downtime following a hectic period.
It looks as though young Fraser will actually be heading out with the first-team.
Keen said on the latest Express & Star podcast: “As it stands right now Nathan Fraser is going to be going to Abu Dhabi and there won’t be a decision on the loan until they are back from that which will be mid-January.
“But things could obviously change because they don’t leave for Abu Dhabi until January 8th.”
One last look for O’Neil?
It makes sense for Wolves to take their time with Fraser this month, because he has technically been Gary O’Neil’s fourth-choice striker in the first-team.
He’s been an option just in case, and perhaps Fraser heading out to Abu Dhabi is a move designed for O’Neil to just get a closer look at him, before anything is signed off.
Shrewsbury really want him on loan, but perhaps there is a small feeling for O’Neil that the youngster could play a part for Wolves in the second half of the season.
You would imagine that is unlikely though, given he’s still only 18 and very inexperienced. Plus, it’s been widely reported O’Neil wants to bring in another centre forward.
We will see what transpires, but it would be a surprise if Fraser did not ultimately head out, even if he is going to Abu Dhabi with the squad.
