A player linked with Wolves is seeking to leave his club due to lack of minutes, with the 2026 World Cup looming.
Wolves are expected to be active in the next window, having struggled so far this season.
Wanderers did some questionable business after restructuring their recruitment division, with all the new signings coming from overseas clubs.
Supporters are fearful the lack of any Premier League experience in the new players could see them take too long to adapt.
With just two points taken from seven Premier League games so far, eyes are already on January.
Liam Keen has reported Wolves could strengthen two positions; a new midfield recruit is highly likely, and Molineux officials could also attempt to land a new winger or number 10.
One position that hasn’t had too many mentions in terms of signing a new player is the goalkeeper.
But one player Wolves have expressed interest in is seemingly going to make himself available for a move.
Wolves target Christos Mandas fed up at Lazio and wants to leave

In the summer, Wolves reportedly failed with an approach Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas.
He is someone the club have admired for a while now, and in the end, no move materialised.
There have been suggestions Wolves might make a January move for Mandas – and it would appear that the 24-year-old is ready to leave his club.
Corriere dello Sport report that Mandas has grown fed up with life at Lazio, having not played a single minute in 2025/26.
Manager Maurizio Sarri has shown unwavering faith in Ivan Provedel so far, with Mandas left to warm the bench – something which is far from ideal with the World Cup taking place next year.
It’s stated Mandas is now actively looking to leave Lazio in January, as he hopes to make Greece’s final squad for the tournament.
Any Wolves move for Mandas would hinge on Jose Sa
It will be interesting to see if Wolves look into signing Mandas.
The club have reportedly been interested for a while, and could do with a younger stopper for the long term.
However, any move to Wolves in January would likely hinge on Jose Sa leaving the club. Currently, Wolves have zero non-homegrown player slots remaining in the squad.

It can’t be Sam Johnstone who goes, because he is a homegrown player – there would still be no slots for Mandas if the Englishman left.
With Mandas looking to play regular football ahead of the World Cup, it might be something of a risk for him to go to Wolves, with Johnstone having been in inspired form this season.
Johnstone himself has revealed ambitions of making England’s World Cup squad, so he will be determined not to lose the shirt.
