Wolves are working hard to bring in the players Vitor Pereira needs for the second half of the season.
Wolves have officially now signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims, with the player signing a four-and-a-half-year contract at Molineux. He also has the option of a further year.
Agbadou becomes the first addition this month, but it’s expected more signings will follow, as Wolves were keen to hand Pereira two new defensive recruits this month.
Another defender is on the agenda.
Wolves have been linked with Renato Veiga from Chelsea, and have also shown interest in Kevin Danso.
With Wolves having been so shay at the back this season, the need for new defenders is crystal clear.
But one man Wolves seemingly won’t be signing is talented young Brazilian Vitor Reis, who now looks to be on his way to Manchester City.
Wolves set to miss out on Vitor Reis to Manchester City

Molineux News reported recently that Vitor Reis was of interest to Wolves.
The Palmeiras centre-back has been attracting attention in recent times, with the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Brighton also keen.
But none of those clubs, or Wolves, are in pole position for Reis.
According to Fabrizio Romano this morning, it’s Manchester City who look poised to sign the South American starlet.
He wrote: “Manchester City have agreed on personal terms with Vitor Reis and his agent, contract ready and green light from 18 yo centre back!
“Negotiations underway to close the deal with Palmeiras around €40m, progress being made fast to avoid more clubs bidding. Advancing fast.”
This comes after it was claimed another Wolves target Abdukodir Khusanov was also closing in on a move to Manchester City.
Reis and Khusanov to Man City will make for interesting viewing
So that’s two exciting young defenders seemingly off to Manchester City this month, and it’ll be interesting to see how they both get on there, if they complete their moves as expected.
It was probably never too that likely that Wolves would be able to sign these players.
City are negotiating with Palmeiras over Reis and a deal for him is expected to cost around £29 million. While it’s also been claimed City are ready to fork out over £30 million for Khusanov.
For Wolves there is just no competing with that kind of spending power.
Wolves have brought in Agbadou for around £15 million and are looking at bringing in one other defensive recruit, and it would be a surprise if that second player even cost more than Agbadou.
