Wolves appear to be taking positive steps towards replacing Nelson Semedo.
It is widely accepted that Nelson Semedo is now very unlikely to sign a contract with Wolves, having recently become a free agent.
An offer has been on the table for Semedo, but Wolves have increasingly felt he will not sign it.
Semedo was pictured training alone recently, which appeared ominous.
And in recent days, there have been several links to potential replacements, indicating that Wolves are ready to move on from the player.
And one player Wolves have been interested in is Marc Pubill of Almeria, with a couple of positive updates now being offered.
Wolves advancing for Marc Pubill with Nelson Semedo exit looking highly likely

Last week, it was claimed that Wolves were in talks to sign Pubill from Spanish second division side Almeria.
Fabrizio Romano then said Wolves were ‘pushing’ for Pubill.
And now, it looks as though the pursuit has really intensified.
Yesterday journalist Matteo Moretto reported via Marca that the negotiations were at an advanced stage.
And today, journalist Rudy Galetti has provided some more information via TEAMtalk.
He says that Wolves are the favourites to sign Pubill at the moment, and have made a good offer. Wolves have also apparently submitted a ‘strong proposal’ on personal terms.
AC Milan are in the frame for Pubill too, and are preparing to lodge an official offer of £13 million. Almeria are open to selling for around £16.5 million.
The specifics of Wolves’ own bid for Pubill have not been shared, but seemingly it is higher than what Milan are going to offer.
Wolves are said to see Pubill as the ‘ideal’ Nelson Semedo replacement.
Wolves must not fumble Pubill from this position
Wolves are leading the race to sign Pubill and must not let up now in their quest to sign the player.
Pre-season has started, and Vitor Pereira needs players through the door. This is a vital period that can be massively helpful for new signings.
It is never ideal when new faces come in as the window approaches deadline day, as they have missed out on vital weeks to get to grips with new tactics, patterns of play and understand new teammates.

Pubill appears to be Wolves’ main choice now to replace Semedo.
He is clearly not extending, because he would surely have done so by now.
Perhaps Wolves actually know that, and are simply waiting to ensure they definitely have Pubill in the bag before actually announcing Semedo’s exit officially.
