Gary O’Neil has many talented players on the books at Wolves and keeping them all happy cannot be easy.
Wolves broadened their squad in the summer, with six new first-team signings being made. Young French defender Bastien Meupiyou could also eventually become a first-team option.
Goncalo Guedes has also been a surprise returnee.
Just two players from last season’s first-team departed in Max Kilman and Pedro Neto.
Wolves have a lot of attacking players now, and the competition for minutes is tough.
One man who has barely featured so far this season is Pablo Sarabia, a man who played a fairly prominent role in the end for Wolves last season.
Now, there are suggestions he isn’t particularly happy about it.
Pablo Sarabia not happy at Wolves with Sevilla lurking

Last season, Sarabia ended up being quite important for Wolves.
He started the 2023/24 campaign on the bench, but gradually saw more involvement when Pedro Neto, Hwang-Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha all picked up injuries at different points in the season.
He did well and as Wolves’ main creator.
Sarabia finished the season with four goals and 10 assists to his name across all competitions.
But in 2024/25 so far, O’Neil by and large kept Sarabia on the bench. He’s made just four appearances so far, for a total of just 153 minutes.
He has not started a single Premier League game yet, and has not got off the bench in any of the last four games in that competition.
It has been reported by Vamos Mi Sevilla FC that Sevilla are watching the situation, and that the player is not happy right now.
In the summer, it was claimed that clubs in Saudi Arabia were keeping a watchful eye.
Sarabia’s days are numbered at Wolves
If it’s true that Sarabia is not happy with his current level of game time, then we could very possibly see him leave in January.
There will be a lot of Wolves fans out there who would not have a problem with this.
Sarabia is thought to be the highest-earning player at Wolves and given this status, fans have expected more from an experienced player.
He had a purple patch last season which lasted from around December to February. But arguably on the whole, he has disappointed since his move from Paris Saint-Germain on the watch of Julen Lopetegui.
Last season, O’Neil showed his preference for attackers who are more mobile and Sarabia only really played as much as he did due to injuries to other players.
He is obviously technically superb. But he hasn’t looked cut out for the English game at times, and it really would be no surprise if he moved on in one of the next two windows.
