The January transfer window is now open, with Wolves likely to see departures and new signings.
Despite Vitor Pereira’s terrific start to the new campaign, relegation from the Premier League is still a real possibility.
The club sit 17th in the table and are just one point above the drop zone.
Wolves’ defence has been the biggest issue, with the Old Gold having the joint-worst record in the division.
Kevin Danso has been linked to Wolves to solve this ongoing problem, however, departures also seem likely.
Sam Johnstone could be a shock exit for Wolves in January

Sam Johnstone has had a difficult time since signing for Wolves. The goalkeeper joined from Crystal Palace at the end of August and was meant to compete for a starting spot with Jose Sa.
However, so far this campaign, he has only made six Premier League appearances for the Old Gold.
Most of these came straight after the Englishman signed for the club before Sa reclaimed the number one spot.
Johnstone was suspiciously ill throughout much of this period but Liam Keen confirmed this was genuine.
Since Pereira was appointed, the Englishman has not made an appearance in his first three games in-charge.
Now, according to John Percy, Johnstone could be a surprise exit in the January transfer window.
Sam Johnstone will likely be always linked with Gary O’Neil’s downfall at Wolves

Rightly or wrongly, Johnstone will always be linked with Gary O’Neil’s downfall at Wolves. The signing of the goalkeeper was nothing short of bizarre given the financial restrictions the club is under.
At 31 years old, the goalkeeper is neither young nor better than his Portuguese counterpart, making the £10 million look highly wasteful.
This is especially true given the fact that the money could have been spent on a centre-back, a position Wolves are desperate for.
If the club can make some of their money back on Johnstone in January, they should look to sell him.
The goalkeeper’s value is only going to deplete further as he will likely remain on the bench for the foreseeable future.
