Tottenham are one of many clubs interested in signing Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes in the summer.
The summer transfer window is set to be a crucial time at Wolves, as Vitor Pereira prepares for his first full season in charge at Molineux.
Talk regarding transfers belongs to Matheus Cunha, whose future is uncertain following the revelation of his release clause amid interest.
Cunha isn’t the only Wolves player to be attracting interest, as Joao Gomes is also turning heads due to his inspired form.

Wolves stance on Joao Gomes summer transfer
Gomes has shone since being paired with Andre, gifting Pereira the perfect combination in midfield.
The Brazilian duo are one of the reasons that Wolves can be optimistic about Gomes’ future, according to TBR’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey.
Speaking to Molineux News, Bailey confirmed that while Gomes is ‘attracting a lot of interest’, his importance to Pereira’s model could deter Wolves from considering a transfer.
“Joao Gomes is a player attracting a lot of interest, he has settled brilliantly into life in England since his move.
“He has forged a good partnership with Andre, I believe Wolves will look to give it another season with them two at the heart of the midfield.”
Several clubs are interested in Gomes, and have been for some time, but, at present, it’s understood that other players are ahead of the Brazil international in the queue to leave Molineux.
“Wolves will be losing Cunha this summer, possibly Ait-Nouri but I don’t expect them to let Gomes leave this summer,” Bailey said.
Tottenham’s interest in Joao Gomes confirmed
It’s become apparent that Wolves value Gomes around £50m, making him a target for the more affluent clubs only.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, it’s been suggested that Tottenham are eager to sign the 24-year-old.
Bailey responded to rumours linking Gomes to Spurs, confirming that while the North London club ‘like’ the player, a ‘more likely’ scenario could play out.
“In terms of Tottenham they are one of the sides who like him, and they are doing their work on a number of midfield options – including his namesake Angel Gomes, who is available for nothing, I personally think he is more likely.
“But Joao Gomes is certainly one to keep an eye on, this summer, but at this point, I believe he stays.”
Pereira is a big fan of Gomes and would be reluctant to let the 2023 arrival leave in a hurry, with the consensus being that the midfielder is more likely to remain at Molineux.
