Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri are the biggest players to exit Wolves this summer, yet more of Vitor Pereira’s stars are attracting unwanted attention.
Following a stellar debut Premier League campaign, news emerged last week that Juventus were interested in signing Andre as a potential replacement for Douglas Luiz.
Links to the Brazilian international were instantly shunned as Wolves insisted Andre isn’t for sale, a verdict that will have undoubtedly delighted the supporters.
Unfortunately, after rejecting Juve’s approach for the 24-year-old, the Old Gold are now batting off unwanted attention for Joao Gomes.
Tottenham have a long-standing interest in Gomes, with journalist Ben Jacobs stating he is ‘one to watch’ this summer.

Wolves don’t want to sell midfielder Joao Gomes
In March, Molineux News revealed that Wolves wanted to keep Gomes beyond the 2024/25 season after watching him blossom alongside Andre in the engine room.
Gomes signed a new five-year contract at Wolves at the start of April, in a clear indication of his commitment to the Old Gold.
Now, with Tottenham showing fresh interest in the Brazilian after qualifying for the Champions League, there will be worries that their ball-winning machine could depart.
Fortunately, as per information from our transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, Molineux News understands that Wolves ‘don’t want him to go’, and it would take a ‘huge’ bid for the Wanderers to even consider selling him.
Gomes is of interest to a ‘host of clubs’, with previous links to the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
But supporters will be pleased that the likelihood of him departing this summer is increasingly slim as Pereira plans for the 2025/26 season.
Gomes ‘loves’ playing for Wolves
Since joining from Flamengo at the start of 2023, Gomes has developed into one of the Premier League’s best ball-winning midfielders.
Last season, he ranked third in the division for tackles made, behind only Daniel Munoz and Idrissa Gueye, with the Brazilian displaying relentless consistency.
Gomes is wonderful to watch on the pitch, and he’s become somewhat of a fan favourite at Molineux, as demonstrated by one message he sent to supporters in May.
Thank you for everything wolves fans, I love you very much.

After winning the Supporters Player of the Season Award, Gomes said he ‘loves’ playing for Wolves, which warmed the hearts of fans across the globe.
It suggests how thankful he is to have a loyal set of supporters behind him, as Gomes feels at ‘home’ at Molineux, indicating his desire to stay long-term.
