Wolves are set for a busy end to the January transfer window – and it looks like the club are closing in on a midfielder.
Wolves have only signed Emmanuel Agbadou so far this month.
He has done really well so far, but fans have been disappointed with the lack of activity from the club.
Given the situation with Mario Lemina, many supporters have been wanting the former captain shipped out and replaced.
But Wolves – for one reason or another – have struggled to make things happen up to now.
But it looks as though the club are actually closing in on a new transfer target.
Wolves close to agreeing deal for Marhsall Munetsi

Wolves have been served well after raiding Reims, with Agbadou looking the real deal at Molineux.
And seemingly, Wolves also had eyes on another player from that club in the form of Marshall Munetsi.
It has been reported by The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath on X: “Wolves are close to agreeing a deal with Reims for Marshall Munetsi.
“The 28yr-old Zimbabwe international has been a regular in Ligue 1 for five seasons and targeted to bolster Vitor Pereira’s midfield.”
Munetshi has been with Reims since the summer of 2019 when he transferred from Orlando Pirates.
He is a Zimbabwe international and has accrued 23 caps for his country.
Should this move not come to fruition, then Wolves are looking at other players.
Wolves have been in talks to sign Volodymyr Brazhko, and Wolves also like Josh Brownhill.
Marshall Munetsi style of play
So Wolves look to be closing in on a move for Munetsi ahead of transfer deadline day – but what is his style of play?
GFFN ran an interesting feature article on him in December, which was titled ‘The man that makes Reims tick’.
They say in their opening line of the piece that Munetsi has been ‘perhaps the most invaluable player at the club’ since he arrived.

Goals – 21 |

He is said to have a ‘tireless work ethic’, and it’s suggested he has an aggressive play style, which can sometimes lead to him making several fouls in games.
He is also described as being ‘sharp defensively and can contribute in transition’.
Transfermarkt highlights that his main position this season has been as a central midfielder.
