Pedro Neto leaving Wolves this summer has felt inevitable, and many will wonder how it hasn’t happened sooner.
Neto has attracted interest from several clubs in recent months, with Arsenal and Tottenham seemingly the favourites to sign the 24-year-old.
Last season, the Portuguese superstar was hampered by injuries but he still produced a mesmeric nine assists in 20 Premier League appearances.
When on top form, Neto is a joy to watch and over the years, the Molineux faithful have watched him deliver many stunning performances.
It will be a sad day once he does leave and that could be sooner rather than later as Chelsea have agreed a transfer to sign the winger, just a week before the season kicks off.

Chelsea agree £55m deal to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves
According to The Athletic, Chelsea have seen a £55 million bid for Neto accepted, with the winger set to undergo a medical at Stamford Bridge shortly.
Interestingly, this falls just short of their asking price of £60 million but much like in their sale of Max Kilman to West Ham, they couldn’t turn down that money for Neto.
Of course, many will perhaps believe he’s worth more than £55 million however, given his recent injury troubles, Wolves can’t be blamed for accepting such a lucrative offer.
After all, it is the most expensive fee they’ve received for any player, surpassing the £53m Man City paid for Matheus Nunes.

Wolves line up Carlos Forbs as Neto replacement
Wolves are wasting no time in lining up a replacement for their £50k-a-week star, with Fabrizio Romano revealing that Ajax winger Carlos Forbs has been shortlisted as one of their potential replacements.
A current Portugal under-21 international, Forbs made a name for himself as a lethal winger during his time at Manchester City’s academy.
The 20-year-old plundered an eye-watering 26 goals and 13 assists in 38 appearances for City’s under-23 side. Despite scoring and laying on goals for fun, the 2004-born winger was sold to Ajax last year, who paid £16m including add-ons.
Forbs enjoyed a decent first campaign in the Eredivisie, where he registered two goals and four assists in 21 matches but after being released by Man City, he’ll be eager to prove he can set the Premier League alight.
From his electric speed, fleet-footed dribbling and the fact he’s a young, Portuguese winger, Forbs could be the perfect replacement for Neto, who looks as though he’s moving on from Wolves after five years and 135 appearances in gold.
