Wolves are set to miss out on Armando Broja, with the striker now on the verge of joining Fulham on loan for the rest of the season.
Wanderers have been in talks with Chelsea today about signing the 22-year-old for the rest of the campaign.
This, after the club failed to sign Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto from Corinthians, with his agent wanting more money at the last minute.
Wolves turned their attention to Broja and had been hoping to sign him, but were not going to pay the loan fee of £5 million.
But now, it looks as though Wolves waiting for Chelsea to lower their demands has allowed Fulham to swoop in…
Wolves set to miss out on Armando Broja with striker close to Fulham move

Fabrizio Romano has reported this evening that Broja is now set to complete a move to Craven Cottage, with an agreement being reached.
He says on X: “Armando Broja to Fulham, here we go! Agreement reached on loan until the end of the season for £4m fee to Chelsea. Broja will complete medical tests tonight in order to sign later.”
It was reported earlier today that Wanderers did not want to pay the £5 million loan fee, and seemingly, the demands needed to be much lower for the club to stand any chance.
But Wolves are still having to be mindful of Profitability and Sustainability rules, and ultimately the club just couldn’t pay anywhere near what Chelsea were asking.
New striker looking unlikely at Wolves, but there’s still time
So Wolves are set to miss out on Broja which is a bit of a shame, but ultimately it’s not an absolute disaster if no one comes in.
Gary O’Neil has Wolves in a great position at the moment, and while a new addition would be nice, it is not absolutely essential that Wanderers add a new centre-forward. It would be nice to have a little more cover.
It will be fascinating now to see if Wolves make a very late play for someone else.
Hugo Ekitike is off the cards, as he is in Germany completing a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, but maybe Matt Hobbs can still pull something off right at the death.
