Wolves are locked in a heated battle to sign West Ham United ace Said Benrahma although it’s just got quite a bit more difficult.
Wolves are clearly prioritising an attacking addition this January with several names already being linked with a move to Molineux.
This comes amid Sasa Kalajdzic’s departure which has left options slim at the top end of the pitch.
Another area Wolves could be weak is on the wings, with injuries already having an impact and so it’s a position Gary O’Neil seems keen on strengthening in January.
It was reported recently that Wolves were keen on bringing Said Benrahma to the club according to TeamTalk, and now there’s been an update on this which shows Wolves face heavy competition.

Wolves facing heavy competition to sign Said Benrahma
In the battle to sign Benrahma, Wolves are facing competition from Ligue 1 side Lyon and also Fulham.
But according to Santi Aouna, Benrahma’s former club Brentford have now also joined the race which could make it difficult for Wolves.
Benrahma made 94 appearances for Brentford before joining West Ham where he has made 154 appearances.
The Algerian winger is capable of magical moments and often is ‘unplayable’ as Joe Cole told TNT Sports live on air.
Benrahma is one of many attackers currently drawing interest from Wolves and potentially is one of the likeliest in what is becoming a long list.
Wolves have attacking options on their list
Wolves have seen several names already linked closely with a Molineux move alongside Benrahma who’d be a really shrewd piece of business, but who are the others.
One of which being Hugo Ekitike who is reported to be a real option for £30m.
Danny Ings has also been linked in recent days in what would be a loan from West Ham.
Meanwhile, the links to Che Adams remain as strong as ever as he edges nearer to becoming a free agent in the summer.
Fabio Carvalho is a move which won’t come off as Hull City beat Wolves to his loan signature.
So with so many options and links we hope the saying remains true that there is no smoke without fire and Wolves end up strengthening in January.
