Flamengo’s full-back Wesley Franca is being linked with joining Wolves along with two Premier League rivals.
Wolves have enjoyed a strong opening few months to the season under Gary O’Neil, however, injuries have slowly been creeping in.
One position which has been particularly vulnerable is the defence which lacks the depth required.
At full-back, Wolves have Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nelson Semedo in the starting slots while Hugo Bueno and Matt Doherty are providing the depth.
On the right side however, with Doherty the understudy to Semedo, O’Neil clearly isn’t happy with his options at Molineux.
Both aren’t getting any younger which explains the strong links now seen to 20-year-old Brazilian wonderkid who’s a natural in the same position.

Wolves targeting Wesley Franca
The young talent seems destined to make the move to Europe and he’s now got three Premier League clubs interested in him.
According to journalist Vitor Beloti, Wesley has interest from Wolves along with Brighton and Crystal Palace.
All three are believed to be be waiting for the transfer window to open in January before a move is made to approach the full-back.
Wesley is also reported to have already told Flamengo of his desire to play in Europe already which makes a move to one of these three likely.
How much would Wesley Franca cost?
Given he is still a fairly under the radar player, Franca wouldn’t break the bank for Wolves.
With a transfer value of €4 million (£3.4m) according to Transfermarkt, Wolves could absolutely afford to be involved in a deal, considering the reported transfer budget for January.
He is an ever present for Flamengo and it’s possible that if he’s not signed in January he could cost a lot more come next summer.
