Wolves are reportedly interested in Peterborough striker Siriki Dembele.
TEAMtalk have claimed the club have watched the 24-year-old in action recently, with a host of other teams keen.
Apparently it’s Celtic who lead the chase, with Dembele’s younger brother Karamoko in the Hoops’ first-team.
Also supposedly in the hunt are Crystal Palace, Brentford, Queens Park Rangers and Derby County.
Dembele has enjoyed a fine start to 2020/21, scoring five goals and making four assists in 12 League One games.
Wolves’ apparent interest comes at a time when the team are struggling to score goals.
Even though the club were well compensated, the sale of Diogo Jota has stung and it could be that Nuno seeks to dip into the transfer market in January.
Dembele would be a risky signing
He’s in good form, but any move for Dembele would be quite risky by Wolves.
He is obviously unproven at the highest level, and has actually not even played in the Championship.
One would feel that Wolves could probably be a little more ambitious if it was felt a new signing was needed, especially having secured £45 million for Jota’s transfer to Liverpool (BBC Sport).
