Wolves are reportedly one of several sides interested in a possible swoop for Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola.
Tuttomercatoweb have claimed that the 24-year-old is attracting attention, including from Newcastle, West Ham and Wolves.
Nzola has bagged a couple of goals in his first four appearances this term for Spezia, who only signed the Frenchman permanently from Trapani in the summer.
Nzola had been on loan at the club for the second half of 2019/20, scoring seven times for the club.
The star has made a big impression with his pace and finishing, and Wolves seemingly like what they see.
The new season has been a bit of a struggle so far for Wolves.
The club’s actual points tally of 13 is decent, but performances have been far from the level expected, with the scoring of goals proving particularly challenging at the moment.
Raul Jimenez has scored four, but goals elsewhere in the team are worryingly scarce.
Silva would feel aggrieved
Wolves aren’t currently scoring a lot of goals, but surely it’s a little early for speculation about potential incoming strikers.
The club have spent a lot of money on youngster Fabio Silva and, after his brace in the Papa John’s Trophy, there is surely hope at Molineux that he can soon step up.
If Wolves went and signed Nzola, that would be a crushing blow for Silva, who wasn’t the one to decide his price tag.
He’s hardly been given a sniff so far and it appears Nuno is managing him carefully right now and he should not be written off.
