Wolves are said to be on the tail of Ajax attacker Lassina Traore.
According to De Telegraaf, as covered by goal.com/nl, the Black Country club are eyeing a summer move for the Burkina Faso international.
It’s explained that the 19-year-old won’t be allowed to leave his club this month, but that he could be an option at the end of the season when he will then have only a year remaining on his contract.
It’s claimed West Ham United are also in the hunt.
Traore has made waves at Ajax since joining the club in the summer of 2019.
The starlet was eased in during his first season at the Amsterdam Arena, but this term he’s come alive, scoring nine goals in 18 apperances in total.
Five of those actually came in one game against VVV-Venlo, whom Ajax thumped 13-0 back in October. He also made three assists in that game.
Traore, who is known for his pace and strength, is certainly a bright prospect, and one to keep an eye on for the rest of the season.
Traore one to watch
Traore – who is the cousin of Aston Villa winger Bertrand – is now getting regular minutes at Ajax.
He’s made an explosive start to the 2020/21 season, and Wolves should definitely keep tabs on the talented teenager.
One would have thought any move would hinge on the development of Fabio Silva though.
