Wolves are trying to sign a second centre-back before the transfer deadline – and the club’s search has taken them to Italy.
Wanderers signed Emmanuel Agbadou earlier this month, and the Ivorian already looks to be a great addition.
But Wolves have still been shipping too many goals, and the arrival of a second centre-half is a priority.
Kevin Danso is on Wolves’ radar and has been a top target this month.
He turned a move to Molineux down earlier this month, but Wolves have reignited their interest in recent days and have seen two bids rejected.
But with Wolves having tried for days to get a deal done, sources have informed Molineux News tonight that a new target is now being looked at with just days to go in the window.
Wolves interested in Udinese centre-back Thomas Kristensen, with Kevin Danso move now highly unlikely

Lens have not included Kevin Danso in their squad to face Montpellier tomorrow night, which suggests he could be closing in on an exit from the club.
But Molineux News has been told by sources tonight that Wolves have really struggled to reach an agreement with Lens over the player and as such, the club now have turned their attention to Udinese defender Thomas Kristensen. At this stage, a deal for Danso is now highly unlikely.
Denmark U21 international Kristensen, who is 6ft 6in, is comfortable playing on both the left and right-hand side of the defence.
The 22-year-old started his playing career at Galten, before he moved to AGF.
After making his debut in 2021, he had a couple of years in the first-team before securing his move to Udinese, for whom he has made 37 appearances.
Wolves also interested in Clement Akpa
So Wolves’ proposed move to Danso is now in doubt, and fans will hope that the club can make some headway on alternative targets.
We are told Kristensen is of interest to Wolves but contact has yet to be made.
In addition to the Dane, it’s also been reported elsewhere this month that Wolves have interest in Clement Akpa.
Akpa has impressed over at Auxerre, and is thought to be one other option for Wolves.
Axel Disasi has also been on Wolves’ transfer radar in recent days, but the Chelsea man appears to make a move to Aston Villa, whom he agreed personal terms with earlier this week.
