Wolves have submitted a bid for a defender as deadline day drama kicks off at Molineux.
Before the end of the January transfer window, Wolves are expected to bolster several positions at Vitor Pereira’s request.
Pereira made his wishes clear to Fosun as the Old Gold continue to combat a Premier League relegation battle.
Having already recruited Emmanuel Agbadou, Wolves have turned their attention to Marshall Munetsi but, the Ligue 1 midfielder isn’t the only one on Pereira’s radar.

Wolves submit bid for Red Star Belgrade defender Nasser Djiga
Munetsi would bolster Wolves’ midfield but the defence still needs some work, which introduces another deadline-day target.
It’s been reported by Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport that Wolves have submitted a bid in the region of €12m for Red Star Belgrade defender Nasser Djiga.
Wolves have been linked to Djiga this window, with a bid now submitted.
Mozzart Sport describes Wolves’ offer as ‘one of the biggest transfers’ in Belgrade’s history, with the transfer ‘being prepared’.
The offer is described to have come in on the morning of deadline day, with a €12m bid tabled which could rise to €13m with bonuses.
Local journalist Liam Keen has also reported the news, as Wolves close in on their second signing under Pereira.
Nasser Djiga wasted no time impressing at Red Star Belgrade
Djiga has impressed in central defence this season in Serbia, shining in the Champions League with eight appearances in this term’s competition.
While the 22-year-old is a jewel at Belgrade, it appears that Wolves’ offer is too good to refuse, making a transfer very possible this window.
It’s set to be a rapid turn of events for Djiga who only signed for Red Star permanently in the summer of 2024 after a 2023/24 loan from Basel.
Pereira could finally add to his defence by acquiring the Champions League-vetted defender before the deadline.
