Wolves now told signing exciting 11 G/A forward is a ‘better idea’ than Che Adams

Wolves are in the race to bring a forward into Molineux during 2024 but have been warned to steer clear of one target – Che Adams.

Wolves have been linked with a handful of forwards in recent months as the position has emerged as a true weakness. While there are several talented players in the Molineux sides ranks that can play across the front line – Wolves are lacking a clinical forward up front to raise their game a level.

Due to this, it’s expected that in January and beyond, a true number nine will be the top transfer priority for Gary O’Neil‘s side. Several names have been credited with interest from Wolves including Che Adams and Nigerian talent Rafiu Durosinmi.

Now, as the January transfer window is about to open – Wolves have been warned one arrival could be far better.

Dean Jones warns Wolves against Che Adams signing

Speaking exclusively with GiveMeSport Dean Jones discussed the current striker chase at Molineux with a warning aimed at the club.

Jones began by insisting Durosinmi would be a better option for Wolves than Adams, before explaining his reasons.

He said: “Maybe looking outside the Premier League at a player that has been identified as having the exact traits would actually be a better idea than going for Che Adams.

“If he came in and made an instant impact, suddenly you’ve got this player who nobody else in the league really knows what to do with or his strengths. When everybody else adapts to that, you can make the most of it and thrive.

“I think Wolves will get smart, and I’d be surprised if they were to go and sign somebody like Che Adams because recruitment is stretched further than that now.”

Rafiu Durosinmi is a far better signing than Che Adams

The signing of Southampton’s Adams would be a very uninspiring move from the Old Gold side. A move for the Scotland international was close over the summer but ultimately didn’t come off.

On the other hand, Durosinmi is a player who is quite the opposite – an exciting 20-year-old who is having the season of his life right now.

Six goals and five assists in 11 games so far for Durosinmi this season – which explains the interest in his signature.
