Wolves have made Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale their top goalkeeping target for January should Jose Sa be sold.
Last week, a strange report emerged which pointed towards Jose Sa being a target for Saudi Pro League sides in what would be a £40m deal.
The report was one nobody would’ve seen coming given Sa recently signed his new contract at Molineux.
But if the fee is correct, many Wolves fans have accepted a sale is probably the best move which could see the financial issues further eased while a younger keeper could be signed.
Now, Wolves‘ possible replacement for Sa has been reported on, and it is one few would have envisioned due to the high profile of the player.

Wolves targeting Ramsdale
With that potential sale in mind, Wolves are believed to be targeting a move for England international and Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in January.
According to the Daily Star, Wolves are considering Ramsdale as the Jose Sa replacement in the event he is sold to Saudi Arabia.
The deal would be a loan, with an obligation to buy and would also represent quite the coup for the Midlands side.
A goalkeeper yet to reach his prime, and just months ago was a Champions League and title race quality keeper, one Neil Cutler will be excited to potentially work with no doubt.
Should Wolves sign Ramsdale?
Ramsdale would be an excellent signing, despite the Gunners opting to play David Raya ahead of him lately. The 25-year-old has been lauded as ‘phenomenal‘ by David Seaman in recent times.
He is a brilliant goalkeeper and if Arsenal really are willing to let him go, Wolves have to be front of the queue as he is the type of keeper that is a rare commodity.
Given his perceived unhappiness at The Emirates, a deal could also be cut-price as Mikel Arteta looks to get rid of him and avoid an unhappy player affecting squad morale.
Wolves need to make a serious effort to make this deal happen if Sa goes, as it’s unlikely a better alternative will be found
