Wolves have reportedly made an enquiry about signing Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool, after the youngster returned to the Reds from a loan spell with RB Leipzig.
Wolves are preparing to add some new faces to the squad in Gary O’Neil‘s first full window as manager, but there won’t be much money to spend.
The club are still somewhat restricted as they seek to finish the season on the right side of FFP, and so, cut-prices deals and loans are thought to be more likely.
Potentially, Wolves could now make a move for Carvalho, who’s not had the best time in the last few months…
Wolves have enquired about a possible loan move for Fabio Carvalho

Wolves are apparently one of a few clubs showing interest in Fabio Carvalho at the moment, with the youngster now back at Anfield.
He was meant to spend the whole season on loan at RB Leipzig, but has been recalled after struggling for regular minutes.
Carvalho only made 15 appearances for the club, for a total of just 350 minutes on the pitch.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti on X, interest is now mounting over Carvalho, with Wolves, Everton and Leicester City all having made inquiries to Liverpool.
The Reds will make a decision soon, but are definitely open to sending him out for the second half of the season.
It is not the first time Wolves have been linked with a move for Carvalho. Apparently in May 2023, Wolves were admiring the player, but nothing materialised in the summer.
Carvalho could be a decent addition, but he’ll want to play regularly
So Carvalho has again been linked with Wolves following his underwhelming spell at Leipzig and it will be interesting to see if he’s a player Gary O’Neil goes for.
Carvalho is a real talent – Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did previously hail him as ‘unbelievable’ – and would potentially make a great addition to the Wolves squad.
But given the season he’s had so far at Leipzig, it could be difficult for Wanderers to land him.
After playing so little for Leipzig, he is now going to want to play for a club that can offer him regular game time and O’Neil may not be able to do that. He would be competing for minutes against the likes of Pablo Sarabia, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Matheus Cunha, Pedro Neto and Hwang Hee-chan when he returns from the Asian Cup.
We will see what transpires, but the £40,000-a-week youngster heading to Molineux in the coming weeks doesn’t feel too likely.
