The Wolves recruitment team continues to work away to get new players into the club for Vitor Pereira, and seemingly one earlier summer target has come back into the picture.
Wolves have landed three new players so far this summer.
Fer Lopez was an early arrival, and was then followed more recently by Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe.
But a host of players have left and at the moment, the squad is not where it needs to be.
Frustratingly, it has been a summer of failed pursuits by Wolves.
Wolves first failed to sign Marc Pubill after a hijack by Atletico Madrid.
And Juanlu Sanchez has also been a target for Wolves, but the Sevilla star appears to be heading for Napoli.
And most recently, Matthis Abline has turned down Wolves.
But the club are now being linked with another player from France as a potential alternative.
Wolves could move for Lucas Stassin after Matthis Abline snub

Abline was apparently being pushed to Wolves by Jorge Mendes, but the Portuguese agent has seemingly been unable to get a deal over the line.
But French publication Peuple Vert are suggesting that Wolves could now move for Saint-Etienne striker Lucas Stassin.
Wolves were linked with Stassin earlier in the window, but the speculation then went quiet.
But it seems following the snub from Abline that Wolves might be back in for the talented 20-year-old, who is said to be ‘high’ on the transfer lists of both Wolves and Paris FC.
Stassin made waves last term, scoring 14 goals across all competitions and also showing creativity, providing eight assists.

Stassin one to watch for Wolves
This is an interesting suggestion, and cannot help but think about the recent signing of David Moller Wolfe.
Wolves got linked with Moller Wolfe quite early in the summer, and then there was hardly a word about him, before the club eventually went on to sign him out of the blue.
Wolves fans would love to see something similar happen here, especially with Stassin being very highly rated.
Jorgen Strand Larsen needs competition, and Stassin is potentially the right profile to serve as an understudy but also still get some decent minutes under his belt.
Saint-Etienne were relegated at the end of 2024/25 so potentially this opens the door. However, plenty of other clubs are following Stassin meaning Wolves may not have a straight run at the player.
