Wolves have reportedly entered into talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over defender Nico Elvedi.
Julen Lopetegui is looking to add a new central defender to his squad following the sale of Nathan Collins to Brentford.
Conor Coady also departed the club at the start of the month, meaning the manager has just Max Kilman, Craig Dawson and Toti Gomes as centre-back options at the moment.
Wolves fans were really hoping for some activity on the incomings front soon.
But it looks as though there could be some movement.
It is thought Matt Doherty is close to sealing a return to the club.
And now, apparently there are talks with Gladbach over Switzerland international Elvedi.
Wolves in talks to sign Nico Elvedi
According to various reports, including the Express & Star and The Athletic, Wolves are now in talks with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach over a potential deal for Elvedi.

Elvedi has been with the club since 2015, and racked up 270 appearances for the club.
Apparently Elvedi recently turned down a new contract at Gladbach.
Since he only has a year left, that puts pressure on the German outfit to sell in this window.
The Athletic say it is expected that Elvedi would move for under £10 million this summer.
Nico Elvedi could be a decent singing for Wolves
So Wolves appear to be taking steps to replace Collins by targeting Elvedi – and he could be a good pickup.
At the age of 26, Elvedi is still yet to reach his peak years. But he’s very experienced, having played 230 games in the Bundesliga already.
Elvedi also has international pedigree, having accrued 47 caps for Switzerland and played in European Championships and World Cups.
And in Elvedi, Wolves are seemingly targeting a defender who is bit of a goal threat.
He’s scored 14 goals for Gladbach, which suggests he could be something of a Romain Saiss-type for Wolves.
But Elvedi is much more technically sound than Saiss.

In fact, the Bundesliga’s official website actually states that Elvedi plays a bit like Manchester City star John Stones.
They wrote of him last season: “Elvedi’s elegance on the ball despite his height and ability to play centrally or wide in a three or four-man defence is reminiscent of Manchester City and England stalwart John Stones.
“Stones may already have two English Premier League titles to boast, but Elvedi’s trajectory suggests that there will be significant silverware glistening in his trophy cabinet before his career is out.”
