Wolves could be about to sell another player, with the club now in advanced talks to offload a signing from 2022.
Wolves have already sold Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri this summer.
And a string of other players have left, including Pablo Sarabia, Craig Dawson, Nelson Semedo, Carlos Forbs, Bastien Meupiyou, Chiquinho, Tommy Doyle, Boubacar Traore and Nasser Djiga.
Fans are clamouring for new faces, with just three weeks to go until the new season.
At the moment, there is real concern that Wolves’ squad is nowhere near ready to build on the work Vitor Pereira did last season.
And now, Wolves are seemingly on the verge of allowing another player to depart.
Goncalo Guedes set to join Real Sociedad

Recently, Goncalo Guedes conducted an interview and the tone hinted he could stay at Wolves.
He was full of praise for how pre-season has been going, and the player expressed his happiness.
Guedes also hailed the team spirit at Wolves as being ‘unbelievable’, and previously it was noted that he was a lively and big presence at the club’s training camp in Portugal.
But potentially, it now looks like Guedes appeared that happy because he knew he was leaving.
It was reported Wolves had put Guedes up for sale, and that Besiktas were trying to land him.
And now, Record reported last night that Guedes ‘will be a permanent reinforcement of Real Sociedad’ this summer. Currently, only tiny details need ironing out, and it is only a ‘matter of time’ until a move is finalised.
Journalist Matteo Moretto also added on X: “Real Sociedad and Wolverhampton are in advanced talks for the transfer of Gonçalo Guedes.
“In the coming hours, there will be contact between the parties to see if the deal can go ahead.”
Moretto was asked whether it is a loan or permanent move, confirming it is set to be permanent.
Guedes fee will be interesting
So Guedes looks like he will be the latest player to leave Wolves.
It comes somewhat out of the blue after what he said in that interview, but at the same time, speculation has lingered around Guedes for a long time.
There has always been a niggling feeling that he could leave in any window, and everything now looks on track for him to finally do so.

Appearances – 51 |
Goals – 7 |
Assists – 6 |
Perhaps the arrival of Jhon Arias is the catalyst in this situation, as the Colombian new signing plays in very similar positions.
It will be interesting to see what the fee will be – Wolves paid £27.5 million to bring Guedes to Molineux, but surely the club won’t get close to that with the sale to Real Sociedad.
