Wolves are reportedly eyeing a move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone – if Jose Sa leaves Molineux.
There have been suggestions recently that Sa is a target for the Saudi Pro League, with a £40 million price tag being mentioned.
The Portugal international has also been linked with Nottingham Forest.
Recently, it was claimed that Wolves were keeping an eye on Aaron Ramsdale, who has been demoted to the number two goalkeeper at Arsenal.
But now another name has been thrown into the mix…
Wolves interested in potential move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone

According to journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon, Wolves are showing interest in Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Palace also have Dean Henderson who is now fit and starting for the Eagles and so, Johnstone could be made available.
Wolves have apparently been on Johnstone’s tail since the summer when Henderson first moved.
So far, Johnstone – who has four England caps – has made 29 appearances for Palace since joining them in the summer of 2022.
The £40,000-a-week star may find that his potential to play regularly at Selhurst Park will now decrease following Henderson’s return from injury.
Highly unlikely
This is surely a very unlikely move, mainly because Sa is bound to be staying put.
We all know of the financial might of the Saudi league, but Gary O’Neil seemingly quite likes Sa and the player seems happy at Molineux.
This is evidenced by the fact that he recently signed a new contract at Molineux, which really does make any change of goalkeeper at Wolves unlikely.
Sa does have his flaws. He can be quite rash sometimes, which was on show today against Chelsea when he threw the ball to Joao Gomes who then had his pocket picked by Raheem Sterling.
He also could have played an unmarked Hwang Hee-chan through on the counter, but made a hash of his clearance.
But he’s a capable Premier League goalkeeper, who generally has good command of his area and is a decent shot-stopper.
