Wolves now an option for ‘unbelievable’ 12-goal striker who is one of the ‘top 10 talents in Europe’

Wolves have become experts at signing, developing and eventually selling young talent, with one striker now catching their eye.

Wolves finished their Premier League campaign in the 16th position, and now, they’ve been quickly thrust into the busy summer transfer window.

Vitor Pereira has already seen Matheus Cunha join Manchester United after months of negotiations between the two clubs, and Rayan Ait-Nouri could soon follow.

Ait-Nouri has expressed his desire to join Man City after an incredible Premier League campaign, which saw him record the most goals and assists of any defender in the competition.

Now, with Wolves eyeing Clement Bischoff as a potential replacement for the Algerian, and with Hugo Bueno returning from his loan, finding an heir to Cunha’s throne is their most important task this summer.

Wolves are interested in Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic

It will be difficult for Wolves to replace Cunha’s goal threat with just one player, and that is why they’re being linked with several.

Pereira wants to sign at least one number 10, and ideally, someone to compete with Jorgen Strand Larsen for a spot at striker.

With a move for Yuri Alberto looking dead in the water, Wolves have turned their attention elsewhere, and according to journalist Richard Cawley, the Wanderers have been monitoring Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic.

The Lions only signed the 20-year-old from Serbian side Vojvodina at the end of the summer transfer window but he instantly made a name for himself in the Championship.

Ivanovic plundered an impressive 12 goals in his debut campaign, including seven in his last nine matches.

The Serbian under-21 international has emerged as one of the division’s hottest prospects, with his manager tipping him for greatness.

Alex Neil thinks Ivanovic is one of the ‘top 10 talents in Europe’

It takes someone special to arrive from abroad as a teenager and hit double figures in one of the hardest leagues in the world.

That is exactly the thoughts of Millwall boss Alex Neil, who boldly said that Ivanovic is one of the ‘top 10 talents in Europe’ after scoring a brace against Portsmouth in April.

“Any 20-year-old that leads the line in the Championship and can get nearly [10 goals], and he’ll get double figures before the end of the season,” Neil said via The National.

“If you do that, that’s an unbelievable season and it won’t be surprising me if people start talking about him.

“I’ve already seen something the other day talking about the top 10 young talents in Europe – he’s one of them.

“He’s 20 years of age, there are very few strikers at that age that will lead the line at this level and also score goals, so he deserves all the plaudits he gets.

“It was a particularly tight game today and I think physicality was the order of the day, hence the reason why I wasn’t making changes earlier because the players I was bringing on were all smaller.

It remains to be seen how much Millwall want for Ivanovic, but he’s surely someone capable of being a Premier League striker, and one Wolves could get excited about if he signs.
