The transfer saga between Wolves and Daniel Podence is ongoing, with a fresh update now provided.
Wolves have had a strong summer so far in preparation for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.
Gary O’Neil will be satisfied with what he’s seen from his squad so far, as well as being pleased with the club’s presence in the transfer window.
Aside from welcoming three new faces and tying down Tommy Doyle, the Old Gold have seen captain Max Kilman depart, with further exits expected.

Wolves name Daniel Podence asking price amid transfer rumours
The 2023/24 season saw a staggering 15 players leave Wolves on loan for the year, with several names now poised to end their association with the club.
Fabio Silva is an almost certain departure, with Goncalo Guedes and Daniel Podence at a crossroads with their Molineux futures.
It’s been an interesting summer for both players, who have both played a part in pre-season however, a fresh stance on Podence has now been provided.
The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley reported that Wolves ‘want’ a fee of €10m (£8.5m) in order to part ways with Podence, who has generated interest this summer.

The report also highlights that ‘there is interest’ from Saudi Arabian clubs with the understanding that the winger would be ‘open to a move’ though, no offers have been received yet.
Perhaps the most surprising part of the update is the belief that Podence could even remain at Wolves, as Madeley wrote, ‘it is now a possibility he could stay’.
After impressing in pre-season, O’Neil admitted he would like to keep the Portuguese forward at the club, with Podence’s future still up in the air.
Podence staying at Wolves would be a shock
It’s been a magnificent turn of events for Podence at Molineux, as not even a year ago the manager made it clear that he was not in his plans.
The 2023/24 campaign was huge for the 28-year-old, who won the Europa Conference League with Olympiacos, contributing to a staggering 28 goals throughout the year.
Podence has hinted that he would like to leave Wolves on social media but, as per Madeley’s update, anything can happen this summer.
It would be a surprise to see the winger remain at Molineux beyond deadline day however, his pre-season form has indicated that O’Neil could certainly make use of his presence in 2024/25.
