Wolves’ pursuit of Burnley winger Luca Koleosho appears to be over, with the club reportedly demanding an absolutely huge fee to sell him.
Wanderers have been hoping to sign a new forward before Friday’s transfer deadline.
There have been links to the likes of Yoane Wissa at Brentford and Carlos Forbs from Ajax but there has yet to be any breakthrough for the club.
Another player Wolves have been hopeful of signing is Luca Koleosho, with interest in him only being reported quite recently.
Koleosho is thought to want out of Turf Moor, and Wolves have had one bid already turned down.
It has been claimed he is not happy right now, and this latest claim may well explain why.
Wolves abort pursuit of Luca Koleosho after Burnley demanded £40m

It has been reported this evening by Fabrizio Romano that Wolves have now abandoned their pursuit of Luca Koleosho.
The reason for this is because Burnley have demanded a simply huge transfer fee to sell him.
Romano writes on X: “Wolves are moving on from their main winger target Luca Koleosho.
“Burnley want £40m fee and that is considered too expensive.”
Koleosho has three years remaining on his contract at Turf Moor.
He signed for them last summer for a reported £2.6 million from Espanyol. In his first season with the club in the Premier League, Koleosho was limited to just 17 appearances because of injury.
Totally unreasonable

This is a real shame for Wolves, as Koleosho would have made for a really exciting addition.
This demand from Burnley is very excessive. To be demanding that much for a player who made just 17 Premier League appearances last season, scoring two goals, is madness.
They are within their rights to ask for what they want, if they don’t want to sell.
But Koleosho wants to leave, which makes this high price hard to understand. Surely, it is not wise to try and keep a player who is unhappy.
We will see if the situation changes, but Wolves are certainly right to walk away if this is the price they have been quoted.
