Wolves miss out on Kaio Jorge as Brazilian agrees Juventus move

Wolverhampton Wanderers have missed out on signing Brazilian starlet Kaio Jorge, who is reportedly going to join Juventus.

According to respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, the attacker is Italy-bound, with the Old Lady having reached an agreement for his transfer.

And it’s a bargain deal for the European giants.

£1.3 million will go to Jorge’s club Santos now, with a further £1.3 million to be paid in 2022 if Juve qualify for the Champions League.

Santos will also receive around £850,000 when the player makes a certain amount of appearances.

So in total, Juventus stand to pay around £3.5 million for Jorge.

The numbers involved are so low because the player’s contract with Santos expires at the end of the calendar year.

It’s a bitter blow for the Brazilian outfit, with Jorge tipped to become the next potential superstar to come out of their academy.

Wolves were linked with a move for Jorge in June, with A Bola reporting Molineux officials were keen.

Kaio Jorge to Juventus might be uncomfortable viewing

Clearly Jorge has huge potential if Juventus are signing him.

Who knows how close Wolves ever were to landing him, but £3.5 million definitely seems like a major bargain.

Jorge could excel for Juve, but hopefully Wolves fans need not be looking on in envy.

Fabio Silva has a year under his belt now and fans will hopefully get to see him realise his own big potential.
