Wolves have announced their new striker Tolu Arokodare, but that won’t distract fans for long.
Genk’s Tolu Arokodare is officially a Wolves player.
The news came out during an otherwise silent deadline day for Wolves.
It wasn’t a groundbreaking story either, with Arokodare already having completed his medical over the weekend. He also said his goodbyes to the Genk fans earlier today.
But as the deadline approaches, it’s becoming a real possibility that this is the only business we see today.
Reporters at Sky Sports News think Wolves may not sign a midfielder on deadline day
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Kirsty Austin wasn’t optimistic about Wolves’ prospects in the final hours.
She says: “Vitor Pereira also wanted to add a midfielder to his squad if he could, but that may not happen today. If it doesn’t, they will still look at free agents if they can.”

Given how much focus was put on this midfield signing, it will be extremely disappointing to get to 7 pm without a new face coming in.
Unfortunately, it becomes more and more likely with each passing hour.
Wolves’ deadline day hasn’t been exciting, but the most important issue was resolved
We all were hoping for more today, and there’s still time.
But even if no signings are made, there’s one big positive that came out of it.

If you asked a Wolves fan just last week what the most important objective should be for Wolves for the remainder of the window, it would be Jorgen Strand Larsen staying at the club.
Now that Newcastle’s interest has cooled, and nothing concrete came of links to Chelsea, Wolves’ most important player looks set to stay.
