Wolves may have good chance to make Hirving Lozano swoop this summer

Wolves may find there’s a good chance for them to finally land Hirving Lozano this summer.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (via GIFN), the forward is likely to leave Napoli at the end of the season.

That’s because the Italian outfit are apparently close to signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Supposedly, Lozano does not have the full trust of his manager and is not regarded as a long-term option at the club by officials.

So it’s very possible they will listen to offers for him.

He will only have a couple of years left on his contract this summer. That means there might be a deal to do for Wolves.

Back in March 2020, Calciomercato reported that Wolves were thinking about making a move for the star.

There hasn’t been anything on Wolves and Lozano since then. But Wanderers may find themselves needing a wide forward this summer.

Adama Traore won’t sign an extension at the club and will more than likely be sold.

And it is possible Francisco Trincao may not sign permanently, given his lack of consistency this season.

So there could be need for Wolves to bring someone in.

And any move for Lozano would likely delight Raul Jimenez, who plays with Lozano in the Mexico national team.

He has actually previously backed a move to Molineux for the winger.

He said (via Tribal Football): “That would be nice because we have never played together at a club.”

Napoli move hasn’t worked out, but Wolves should still consider Hirving Lozano swoop

Given Napoli did shell out quite a hefty fee (£36 million, BR) to sign Lozano, his time there has been a little underwhelming.

It might be that club and player both feel it’s time for a new chapter. And maybe Wolves ought to be the club to provide it.

When on song, the star brings flair, creativity and directness.

He obviously knows Jimenez well from the national team and the pair could very well form an exciting partnership at Molineux.

Depending on what Napoli value him at. Wolves should see about a possible transfer. Especially if Trincao and Traore both leave.
