Gary O’Neil ‘cannot bear to lose’ one star who is yet to feature for the Wolves manager in a competitive game.
Despite the exciting start to the transfer window, activity has recently died down on the Wolves front.
A new centre-back has largely been linked with the club over the past month but nothing substantial has happened yet.
However, in the Wolves squad, plenty of stars have been linked away. Hwang Hee-Chan was one major player, with Marseille reportedly interested last month.
Another Wolves man who has been linked away is Yerson Mosquera with O’Neil unwillingly to see the defender depart.
Wolves do not want to lose Yerson Mosquera

Mosquera has not featured in a competitive game for Wolves since the club were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Spurs back in 2021.
The Colombian went off injured and has since spent his time out on loan, most recently at Villarreal.
After impressing in Spain, O’Neil has plans for the centre-back and he has widely featured in pre-season.
However, this has not stopped clubs from testing the waters to try and sign the Colombian.
According to CaughtOffside, Villarreal are aiming to secure Mosquera on a permanent basis this summer.
As it stands, Wolves will not entertain offers for the defender. It has been reported that O’Neil ‘can’t countenance’ the thought of losing Mosquera.
Villarreal are still considering submitting an opening bid of €9 million with Wolves yet to set a value on the centre-back.
Wolves highly unlikely to sell Yerson Mosquera

It is unthinkable that Wolves would consider selling Yerson Mosquera at present. The club is extremely low on centre-backs and is yet to replace Max Kilman.
O’Neil also seems extremely keen to incorporate the defender into the side and build upon his form over the past year.
If Mosquera has a successful year in the Premier League, it could also see his value skyrocket compared to the lowly offers reported by other interested clubs this summer.
Hopefully, over the coming weeks, Wolves begin to add to their backline rather than lose more important players.
