Wolves make enquiry over another ‘dynamic’ Brazilian player, but Nuno Espirito Santo wants him too

Rumours are flying around at the moment with regards to Wolves signing new players.

The club are now into pre-season, with the players currently being put through their paces out in Portugal.

At the moment only Fer Lopez has arrived as a new signing for Vitor Pereira.

But Jhon Arias is expected to become Wolves’ second addition of the summer and there have also been several links to new wing-backs.

A few weeks ago, Wolves were linked with Samuel Lino of Atletico Madrid.

There have not really been any updates regarding Wolves and Lino of late, but one new claim was finally made last night.

It was reported last night by journalist Matteo Moretto – who was speaking in a video for Dazn Futbol – that both Wolves and Nottingham Forest have made enquiries over signing Samuel Lino from Atletico Madrid.

Supposedly, Atleti value the player at £17-22 million.

Lino has apparently been offered to a number of Premier League clubs already, and the Spanish giants are actively working to offload him.

Of course at the moment, there are several players on Wolves’ radar for the left wing-back position.

Jaouen Hadjam is thought to be of interest to Wolves, and it was even claimed he dreams of being Rayan Ait-Nouri’s replacement.

Earlier in the window, Wolves were linked with Gerard Martin.

Lino is a winger by trade, and also right-footed. But he has experience of playing as a left wing-back, and Wolves have gone down that route of having a right-footer on the left before with Jonny Castro Otto.

Wolves may try to use Fabio Silva to land Lino

One scenario to potentially look out for is Wolves trying to use Fabio Silva to land Lino.

Silva is still expected to leave Wolves this summer, despite currently training with the squad as normal.

Atletico Madrid were linked with Silva earlier this year, with Diego Simeone even publicly praising the Wolves striker.

Although there is strong interest in Silva from Germany, perhaps the club will consider proposing a swap deal involving Silva and Lino.

Lino would be a very interesting signing for Wolves.

According to BTL, Lino is ‘a very dynamic player’ and also ‘has a strong ability to shield the ball away from defenders’. Furthermore, ‘his dribbling technique is fun to watch’, suggesting he could be a solid replacement for Ait-Nouri to play at left wing-back.
