Wolves are seeking to finish the 2024 summer window strongly – and it is now being claimed the club have made an offer for a French attacker with just hours to go until the deadline.
Wolves have already signed goalkeeper Sam Johnstone today.
Yesterday, Bastien Meupiyou joined from Nantes, and Fluminense midfielder Andre should be confirmed at some point this evening.
Wolves have apparently reached an agreement to sign Carlos Forbs and the club are hopeful that that one will get over the line before the deadline.
But it is now being claimed that Wolves have presented an offer to sign Sassuolo forward Armand Lauriente.
Wolves make offer to sign Sassuolo forward Armand Lauriente

It has been claimed by Italian outlet TMW this evening that Wolves have presented an offer to Sassuolo to sign their attacker Armand Lauriente.
Not much more information has been offered, other than that he will be allowed to leave the club in the final hours of the window.
Galatasaray are also keen on the player.
It is not clear what kind of bid Wolves have apparently made.
Lauriente has been with the Italian club since the summer of 2022, and has made 70 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and making 12 assists.
Sassuolo suffered relegation last season. But Lauriente did catch the eye by having 10 goal involvements (five goals, six assists).
Lauriente has previously been likened to Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, with The Athletic saying ‘his hunched-over dribbling style is similar’ to that of the Brazilian.
The 25-year-old, who has had spells at Lorient and Rennes previously, is a former France U21 international.
A surprise move in the offing?
This is a rather bold claim, which is being made amid all the talk about Carlos Forbs coming in.
It is questionable whether Wolves would need another wide forward. Lauriente played mostly as a left winger last term.
We will see if anything comes of this, but if Goncalo Guedes follows Podence out the exit door tonight then perhaps we could see something happen.
Podence is expected to now complete a move to Saudi outfit Al-Shabab, while Guedes has again been linked with a move to Villarreal.
Disclaimer – E&S journalist Liam Keen has since reported Armand Lauriente was a player Wolves considered before striking a deal with Ajax for Carlos Forbs.
