Wolves are reportedly hoping to strike a deal with Chelsea to sign striker Armando Broja for under £35 million in the summer.
Gary O’Neil only has a couple of days left now to get new players into his squad.
He has wanted a new striker this month, but the manager admitted last week that a couple of things the club had been working on are no longer doable.
The January window is always tough, but fans are still hoping one or two new faces will come in before Thursday night’s deadline.
One player who has been linked quite a lot in the last couple of weeks is Broja. It was suggested last week that Wanderers had shelved their interest, but there is still a chance a deal could be done for the Albanian to come to Molineux.
Wolves want to sign Armando Broja on loan and for under £35m this summer

At the moment, Wolves are in a very healthy position in the Premier League.
So there will be no acts of desperation in these final couple of days of the window.
But Wolves are still trying to do some business if possible, and it seems Broja is still a player they would like to bring in on the right terms.
The Evening Standard reported last night that Wolves are still in talks with Chelsea over a possible deal. At the moment, Chelsea are apparently wanting to sell Broja for £50 million.
But Wolves, and also Fulham, are hoping to land Broja for under £35 million. It is stated that any deal is likely to be a loan first, with a permanent summer transfer being based on performance-related criteria.
90min add that Wolves and Fulham are the two teams currently showing the most interest in Broja.
Broja not essential for Wolves, but loan with option would be best scenario
Broja – previously described as ‘very talented’ by former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl – is most definitely a player to look out for in the next 48 hours, as it seems Chelsea are very keen to ship him out.
But for Wolves, he is not an essential addition. Purely because of where Gary O’Neil has got the club at the moment.
Wolves don’t need to scramble for new signings, however, a new striker would be nice in terms of providing more cover for Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan.
If Wolves are to get £40,000-a-week man Broja then ideally it needs to be a loan move with an option to buy the player in the summer. Those terms may not suit Chelsea, who are more likely to want an obligation, but Wolves don’t need to be committing themselves.
Ultimately, Broja has great potential but the jury is still out on him in terms of his capability of playing in the Premier League. His record of three goals in 38 games for Chelsea is not too encouraging, so there is simply no way Wolves can agree to any obligation.
