Wolves have been credited with an interest in highly coveted RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

90min have claimed Wolves are one of several teams from the Premier League to have made checks on the 20-year-old, who is rapidly becoming one of European football’s hottest prospects.

Hungarian international Szoboszlai has started 2020/21 with a bang, scoring five goals and making nine assists across all competitions, taking his total tallies for the club to 22 goals and 33 assists in just 74 games.

Szoboszlai’s exciting form has seen him becoming massively coveted, with many European sides including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint Germain all supposedly sniffing.

Enticingly, it is believed that Szoboszlai has a release clause of just £20 million, meaning he could become the next player with huge potential to leave the Austrian club for pittance after Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino.

What a coup it would be for Wolves

Wolves signing Szoboszlai, as unlikely as it probably is, would be a huge coup.

He really does seem like a quality player who possesses fantastic technical quality, and German legend Lothar Matthaus recently likened him to Chelsea star Kai Havertz (AZ).

Wolves have been stung by the exit of Diogo Jota, and Szoboszlai – with his eye for goals and assists – seems like he could be a brilliant replacement for the Liverpool man.
