Wolves have now been asked for £13m as Vitor Pereira’s rejected bid surfaces

Vitor Pereira is reaping the benefits of the two midfielders Wolves signed from Brazil, and now, the Old Gold could repeat the transfer feat.

Jeff Shi has been speaking about Wolves’ worst signings, but when it comes to best, there’s one name that’ll always be close to the top of the list.

Joao Gomes was signed for just £15m from Flamengo in January 2023, and the midfielder hasn’t looked back, becoming a crucial part of Pereira’s squad and a highly-rated player in the Premier League

Just as Gomes hit the ground running, a year and a half later, Wolves’ pitbull was handed a new friend to play with, as Andre arrived from Fluminense to complete the Old Gold’s dream midfield pivot.

The West Midlands club have struck gold in Brazil in recent years and plan to test their luck once more.

Wolves had a bid rejected for Brazilian midfielder Ze Lucas

Molineux’s all-Brazilian midfield has brought Wolves delight and has clearly inspired Pereira’s plans for the future.

A fresh report from Spanish outlet Sport has revealed Barcelona’s interest in Ze Lucas, Sport Recife’s 17-year-old central midfielder.

The report will come as of interest to Wolves fans, as the Old Gold’s admiration for the player was outlined.

Lucas is reportedly ‘being offered’ to a number of clubs in Europe, but, back in April, it was Wolves who knocked on the player’s door.

Sport note that Recife rejected a bid in the region of £10m for the teenager from Wolves, with their asking price now declared.

The Brazilian club, with whom Wolves dealt last year, have placed an asking price of £13m on the starlet’s head.

Wolves eye Sport Recife transfer one year after Pedro Lima’s arrival

It was a year ago to the day that Wolves signed Pedro Lima from Sport Recife in an £8.5m deal.

Though the 19-year-old has been used sporadically over his first season in England, what fans and coaching staff have seen from the fullback is a player with an incredibly high ceiling.

Pereira handed Lima his Premier League debut last term and clearly sees the positives of Wolves bringing the starlet to the club last summer.

Now, the Old Gold could deal with Recife again and sign Lucas, who, like Lima, already has senior experience under his belt, making eight appearances in Brazil’s top flight at the age of just 17.

It would be an exciting acquisition and a situation to eye as the summer goes on, with Wolves now alerted to how much the club want in order to part ways with the talent.
